If you're looking for more pigmentation, I would try looking at contours marketed towards skintones shade 23 and deeper (e.g. It's all well and good to have your own preferences and it's definitely okay if a product didn't end up working well for you, but I'd hesitate on labeling it the way you did considering a lot of people do love many Korean contours, including the Peripera. I do wish that the darkest shade was a little bigger yea, but in my honest opinion it's not that hard to still pick up a decent amount of product with my contour brush. ![]() The pigmentation is, yes, really weak I'm not going to lie, so it is hard to swatch with a finger, but it can mimic pretty light shadows when applying on the face with a brush. Of course, everyone has their own pigmentation preferences and YMMV but as a shade 19 in Korean foundations, and the fact that these are used religiously by shades 21-22 in Korea, I don't think they're really as "pointless" as you put it.įor example, the Peripera contour, since I actually own that: the lightest shade is definitely not supposed to be a brightener or highlighter but acts as a really natural contour shade. Korean, and by extent some AB, contours focus primarily on very natural makeup looks, so the products' pigmentation is generally going to be weak and won't have dramatic payoff.
